Overview

The innovator visa lets you start up a business or multiple businesses. This visa category is open for investors, Entrepreneurs, and experienced businesspersons to set up their business and settle in the UK. This is a point-based visa. The visa is valid for 3 years and can be extended before it is due to expire. Applicants can bring their partners and children under the age of 18 to the UK. .

Eligibility:

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • Your business idea must be fresh and innovative to the market, and you cannot join an existing business.
  • Have minimum £50,000 to invest in the business
  • Your business idea must be endorsed by an approved UK endorsing body that has assessed the ‘viability’ and innovation of your venture.
  • The endorsement letter must be issued within 3 months of filing your innovator visa application.
  • You must be able to communicate in English at a B2 level (IELTS equivalent 5.5 in reading, writing, listening, and speaking)
  • You have at least £945 available to support yourself and £630 for each dependent without relying on public funds.
